United Torah Judaism MK: I Believe Eisenkot Will Want Us in His Government

|
Knesset Member Yaakov Asher of United Torah Judaism was asked at the 'Time of Decision: Democracy and Society' conference by Ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth in collaboration with the Israel Democracy Institute whether he would have a problem sitting with Gadi Eisenkot, and replied that 'I believe that anyone who wants to be prime minister and wants partners and a stable government will probably want us there.' Regarding the draft exemption law that the government failed to pass, he said that 'if anyone thinks it's possible to pass such a law, which affects a million and a half people, without agreement and dialogue, they are throwing sand in the public's eyes.' He also criticized the new ultra-Orthodox parties and said that 'they have one purpose – wasting votes.'
