Defense Minister Israel Katz approached IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir and instructed the military to make 'every effort' to assist firefighting forces in tackling the fires in the Jerusalem hills. 'We are in a national emergency and must concentrate all possible forces to save lives and get the fires under control,' Katz stated.
