Lebanon's Minister of Information Paul Morkos said in a statement after the government meeting that it "approved the goals that appear at the beginning of the American envoy's document" regarding the settlement with Israel. According to him, "We did not go into the details and additions related to the American document. We will move to the other details of the document when we receive the implementation plan that the army will present to the government. We agreed to end the armed presence in all of Lebanon's territory, including Hezbollah, and deploy the Lebanese army in the border areas."
