Shimon Gutman identified as suspect in Jerusalem caregiver murder

Shimon Gutman, 81, is the suspect in the murder of his caregiver Haviva Vashdi (67) who was found lifeless last week in his apartment in the Kiryat Menachem neighborhood of Jerusalem. Gutman was convicted in the early 1980s for the murder of his mother-in-law and two other people using a booby-trapped bomb. Following that case, he served 18 years in prison.
