Police arrested an Abu Ghosh resident on suspicion of attempting to smuggle more than two kilograms of the synthetic drug MDMB. According to a police and tax authority statement, the suspected material arrived in a courier shipment from Thailand and was concealed inside bottles that allegedly contained liquid material used to produce printer ink. The shipment raised the suspicion of drug unit investigators at Ben Gurion Airport customs, and an initial examination raised suspicion that the bottles contained the drug. During his interrogation, the suspect claimed he did not know the shipment contained drugs and that a family member staying in Thailand asked him to pick up the package.
