Following reports of the strike on a hotel in central Beirut, the IDF confirmed it targeted senior commanders of the Lebanon Corps of Iran's Revolutionary Guards' Quds Force. "Commanders of the Quds Force's Lebanon Corps have been working to advance terror operations against the State of Israel and its citizens on Lebanese territory, in parallel with the Revolutionary Guards' activity in Iran," the IDF Spokesperson said. "The Iranian terror regime operates systematically at the heart of civilian populations in Iran and Lebanon, cynically exploiting residents and using them as human shields to advance terror objectives. The Lebanon Corps serves as a liaison between the Hezbollah terror organization and the Iranian terror regime and constitutes a body that supports Hezbollah's strengthening and force buildup."
