Tel Aviv and Jerusalem are ranked first and second in the world in terms of air pollution level measurements, due to the heavy smog across the country. This is according to data from the IQAIR index, which measures estimated real-time air pollution levels in selected cities. According to the index, the air pollution level in Tel Aviv currently stands at approximately 2,090 AQI and the pollution level in Jerusalem stands at approximately 597 AQI. For comparison, the air pollution level in Lahore, Pakistan, which ranks third, is approximately 165 AQI.
