Approval ratings for U.S. President Donald Trump have reached a low of 34%. According to a poll by Reuters and Ipsos, 63% of Americans do not believe the ceasefire with Iran will hold. According to the poll, only 23% think the U.S. has been strengthened following the war, and 24% think the confrontation with Iran was worth the cost. Half of respondents who identified as Republicans and 80% of respondents who identified as Democrats did not think the agreement between the countries will bring peace. Reuters noted that Trump began his term with 47% approval, but his popularity has declined over time due to inflation and controversy over his policy against illegal immigrants. In the previous Reuters and Ipsos poll, approval for the U.S. president stood at 37%. The current poll surveyed 1,262 Americans.
