Former Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar presented dozens of warnings, discussions and documents that were delivered to the prime minister from November 2022 until just days before October 7, 2023, in the defamation lawsuit he filed against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, after the latter accused him of 'crimes' surrounding his actions before the massacre. The lawsuit alleges that Netanyahu received warnings about a possible escalation but stuck to a policy of containment toward Hamas. Additionally, Bar demands to disclose documents, and declares: 'In the absence of a state commission of inquiry, the truth will be revealed in court.'
