The Red Cross reported that 184 wounded people, mostly from gunfire, arrived at a field hospital in Rafah, southern Gaza Strip, during the morning hours, and 27 of them were pronounced dead. According to the Red Cross, "Today the hospital received the largest number of gunshot wound victims in a single incident since its establishment about a year ago. The number of wounded greatly exceeds the hospital's bed capacity and has stretched the staff's ability to provide adequate care to its limit."
