88 countries have fully or partially suspended their postal services with the United States following the imposition of American tariffs. This was announced by the UN postal agency, the Universal Postal Union (UPU), which noted that as a result, there has been an 80% decrease in mail traffic to the country. The agency's Secretary-General Masahiko Metoki said it is working on "rapidly developing a new technical solution that will allow for the resumption of mail delivery to the United States."
