The conservative Dutch website Nieuwsrecht claimed that Israeli passengers passing through Schiphol Airport underwent thorough inspection to ensure they did not bring products from Judea and Samaria. The Netherlands began enforcing sanctions on the import of goods from Judea and Samaria, the Golan Heights and East Jerusalem on September 22. According to the report, a day later, passengers were asked during customs inspection where they came from, and anyone who answered they came from Israel was required to pass their luggage through a scanning machine that others were not required to use. The penalty for violating the Dutch ban is up to six years in prison or a significant fine.
