International human rights group: Iran used cluster bombs during war with Israel

|
The human rights organization Amnesty has accused Iran of using cluster bombs against civilian areas in Israel during the "12-day war." According to a statement released by the organization, "last month Iranian forces launched missiles toward densely populated residential areas in Israel, with warheads containing submunitions, in attacks that endangered civilians." Amnesty documented cluster bomb strikes in Rishon Lezion, Beer Sheva and Tel Aviv, stating that this constitutes "a flagrant violation of customary international humanitarian law."
