IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir conducted a situational assessment and discussion at the Samaria Regional Brigade with the Central Command commander, the Judea and Samaria Division commander and brigade commanders in the division. The IDF Spokesperson announced that Zamir met with reserve battalion commanders operating in the West Bank, expressed his appreciation for their consistent readiness and emphasized that their contribution is crucial for maintaining state security. He addressed the riots by hilltop youth: "The mission is clear - to maintain security, protect citizens and strengthen the defense of settlements, while not accepting unacceptable phenomena from extremist and violent groups. We must not allow the development of phenomena that could deteriorate into anarchy and loss of governance. If these phenomena are not addressed now, they will spread. Disaster is at our doorstep and therefore, alongside security forces, immediate systemic treatment of the phenomenon is required."
