Central Elections Committee Chairman Judge Noam Solberg instructed Shin Bet chief David Zini to investigate suspicions regarding foreign funding and suspected election bribery by foreign entities. In a letter sent by the Elections Committee chairman to the Shin Bet chief, it was written: "Serious suspicions have been brought before me of improper influence through foreign funding by foreign actors operating against Israeli interests on the elections. In light of the statutory timelines for filing an election appeal, I ask that you do everything possible to bring before me findings, if any, within the coming week."
