Iraq's Interior Ministry officially announced that a foreign journalist was kidnapped this evening by unknown individuals, without specifying whether it is American journalist Shelly Kittleson as previously reported. "Security forces immediately launched an operation to capture the criminals, and acted based on accurate intelligence information," the ministry stated. "The kidnappers' movements were tracked, and the pursuit led to the discovery of a vehicle belonging to them, which overturned as it tried to escape. The forces succeeded in arresting one of the suspects and seizing one of the vehicles used in the crime - efforts are underway to locate the remaining individuals involved."
