The Police Investigation Department has approached the Police Commissioner with a recommendation to take disciplinary measures against the Glilot station commander and his deputy, who were investigated in the case of leaflet distribution at the synagogue where MK Yuli Edelstein prays about a year ago, as well as a recommendation "to conduct a systematic lesson-learning process from the incident." At the same time, it was decided there are no grounds for criminal prosecution against the two. Last September, three women arrived at the Tel Aviv synagogue and placed flyers with photos of hostages and a picture of Edelstein during his time as a Prisoner of Zion, with the caption "Let my people go." The next day they were arrested on suspicion of breaking and entering and conspiracy to commit a crime, "based on very sparse evidence that was not examined and apparently in violation of police procedures."
