|
Knesset member Boaz Toporovsky from Yesh Atid announced he is retiring from political life. In a statement about his retirement, he wrote: "After more than 20 years of public service, during which I had the privilege of serving in a series of positions, from chairman of the National Union of Israeli Students to chairman of the Yesh Atid faction and coalition chairman during the period of the change government, I have decided that the time has come to take a break from political life and open a new chapter." Yesh Atid chairman Yair Lapid responded, writing that "Boaz is one of the founders of Yesh Atid, a friend of mine and will continue to be a member of our extended family." Oz Haim, director general of the Zionist Council, will enter the Knesset in Toporovsky's place.
