US President Donald Trump's special envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, visited the Western Wall in Jerusalem as part of his diplomatic visit ahead of Tisha B'Av. At the end of the visit, he placed a note in the Wall and wrote in the guest book that he is "praying for the hostages and for the end of the war."
