Opposition leader Yair Lapid responded to French President Emmanuel Macron's decision to recognize a Palestinian state, saying: "Macron's declaration is a moral mistake and diplomatic damage." Lapid added that "The Palestinians should not receive a prize for October 7 and not for supporting Hamas. A functioning government doing basic diplomatic work could have prevented this harmful declaration."
