The foreign ministers of the E3 countries - Britain, France and Germany - as well as the European Union's foreign minister stated after talks with the Iranian foreign minister that "all parties must avoid actions that would lead to further escalation in the region. We urge finding a diplomatic solution that ensures Iran will never acquire nuclear weapons." The ministers also expressed their concerns about the expansion of Iran's nuclear program, "which has no credible civilian purpose."
