Israel's Ambassador to the United States Yechiel Leiter and Republican Senator Jim Banks from Indiana visited the "AM GENERAL" factory in the state, which manufactures Humvee vehicles for the IDF. Ambassador Leiter said: "Meeting with people here who are true friends of Israel gives tremendous momentum to the strong security cooperation between our countries. Today, we are witnessing the closest partnership ever between the U.S. military and the Israeli military, a partnership demonstrated in our successful joint operations, 'Iron Union' and 'Midnight Hammer.' Coming here today and seeing these vehicles on their way to Israel is significant and inspiring, and I am proud to be here and continue strengthening our security ties and shared strategic interests."
