U.S. President Donald Trump met with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz at the White House and declared he hopes to sign a trade agreement with him. "We will have a great deal, I guess it depends mainly on the European Union, but you're a big part of it," the president told the Chancellor. Trump also said about Merz: "He's good to trade with, but tough."
