IDF spokesman on early warnings: 'Detecting fire is affected by various operational factors'

|
The IDF spokesman addressed the short time gap provided in some cases between early warnings and sirens, stating: "We will clarify that the Home Front Command sends an early notification to mobile phones in relevant areas as early as possible, as part of the public alert policy. Detecting barrages and fire is affected by various operational factors, and therefore it is not always possible to provide an extended preparation time between the early notification and the alert, and sometimes it is received relatively close to the siren. It is important to clarify that there are situations in which an alert will be received without an early notification before it, in accordance with operational conditions."
