Former Thai Queen Sirikit Kitiyakara, the mother of the current King Maha Vajiralongkorn, has died at the age of 93. This was announced by the royal palace in an official statement. She was also the wife of King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who served in the role for 70 years and died in 2016.
