Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a released video that 'to achieve complete victory, defeat Hamas and free our hostages, we must not reach a state of starvation - both practically and politically, they simply won't support us.' According to him, 'Part of defeating Hamas, alongside the massive military pressure, is essentially taking control of all of Gaza - this is the war and victory plan.' He noted that the decision to allow aid into Gaza was made because 'we are rapidly approaching the red line, a situation where we could lose control and then everything falls apart.'
