A U.S. official said that Israel and Lebanon have moved to the implementation phase of the framework, and that the first pilot area will be launched within days. He added that additional pilot areas are already in the mapping and planning stages, and said: "We will soon begin reaching out to international partners with the goal of assisting the Lebanese government to effectively restore its sovereignty in these areas, and subsequently throughout the entire country."
