Wife of Elkana Buchbut: 'Our son started kindergarten this week with a smile hiding a broken heart'

|
Rivka Buchbut, wife of captive Elkana Buchbut, said in her speech at the Hostages Square that "This week Ram, our son, started kindergarten. He entered the classroom with a brave smile hiding an innocent heart shattered into tiny pieces. There are no hugs from dad, no voice of dad. Dad is being held, tortured, starved, under gun threats in a tunnel. What kind of leadership allows a 5-year-old child to pay for the disaster that fell upon us during their watch?" She added, "We don't need pity or forgiveness, we need action - a comprehensive deal that will end the war and return Elkana and all the hostages."
