The IDF and Shin Bet announced that senior officials in Hamas's General Security Mechanism in the Gaza Strip were eliminated: the terrorists Hassan Rabah Hassan, Azam Amin Shalash Shabir, Abdullah Ata Yunis Abu Kalum and Muhammad Naaman Zaki Abu Maraq. An IDF spokesperson said the General Security Mechanism is a central and covert mechanism responsible for securing Hamas senior officials, communications between them and coordinating their meetings. General Security Mechanism senior officials are tasked with securing Hamas leaders, transporting them between emergency assets and creating intelligence pictures, including intelligence gathering on security forces, which assist the organization's leaders in making decisions and implementing terror strategies against the State of Israel.
