Israel will not participate in Security Council discussion due to holiday, Danon criticized: 'Hypocritical body'

Israel's Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon informed the President of the Security Council that Israel will not participate in the discussion scheduled for tomorrow due to the Rosh Hashanah holiday. "Despite the fact that we approached in advance and informed that this is the Jewish New Year holiday, the Security Council chose to hold the discussion on this particular day," Danon said. "It is wrong that such an important discussion will take place unilaterally without the State of Israel. This only proves to everyone what a hypocritical body we are dealing with here."
