Iranian military spokesman Abolfazl Shekarchi claimed that "if our ports are threatened, all economic ports in the region will be legitimate targets for us." According to him, "The Navy of the Revolutionary Guards and the Navy of the Iranian Army are too strong to hide in civilian and economic places. CENTCOM makes these claims as an excuse to attack our ports. None of the naval ships are present at commercial docks and economic ports."
