Report: As part of deal, Iran will be able to sell oil, US forces to remain in region for now

|
According to a report on Axios, Iran will be able to resume selling oil as part of the deal taking shape between Tehran and Washington. As part of the ceasefire, which will be extended for 60 days, the Strait of Hormuz will be opened and the U.S. will lift the blockade on Iranian ports. Additionally, during this period the U.S. has agreed to discuss unfreezing Iranian assets and removing sanctions. The report also stated that American forces deployed to the region in recent months will remain — and will leave at the end of the period only if a final agreement is reached. Similar to the New York Times report, Axios also noted that the ceasefire includes the campaign between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
