Defense Minister: 'There's a problem with resource allocation everywhere, so we must produce ourselves'

|
Defense Minister Israel Katz spoke at the defense high-tech conference organized by Ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth in partnership with the Israel Association of Engineers, Architects and Graduates in Technological Sciences. Katz addressed the shortage of equipment and ammunition at the start of the war, saying, 'The U.S. is our great ally, it stood by to support the State of Israel in this multi-front campaign, but there were moments when there were also disagreements that had an impact. There was a phenomenon of sanctions on spare parts, on components - and therefore the conclusion is that we must produce, as much as we can.' Katz added: 'There is a full desire to help, but there is a problem with the allocation/freezing of U.S. resources, for itself, for other actors, for us and so on everywhere.'
