Aviva Chana, sister of Israel Chana who was murdered on October 7 in Ofakim, delivered a speech at the national memorial ceremony of the 'Kumu' movement and October 7 families. Aviva said in her speech: "Block 1, plot 16, row 17. Ofakim cemetery. A strange address you chose for yourself. But this is your address forever. There will be no other. Your dreams are buried here and our loss began. But I don't want to remember you only through this place. I want to remember how you lived. We wished you good luck. A few hours later you were already standing facing terrorists, just you, alone with a handgun, one magazine and fifteen bullets."
