After Solberg's hint: Government to vote on dismissing Attorney General

|
The government will vote on Sunday on a resolution to dismiss Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara. This is despite Supreme Court Deputy President Justice Noam Solberg hinting yesterday that the government should implement this move through the search committee - so it would not be overturned by the High Court. The meeting was initiated by Ministers Yariv Levin, Idit Silman, Yoav Kish and Miki Zohar, and will also address "enforcement against serious incitement actions and threats to the life of the Prime Minister and his family members, and the need for increased security for them" - following the arrest of a protest activist suspected of conspiring to assassinate Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
