Knesset member Gilad Kariv (The Democrats) sent a letter to Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir demanding an examination of the Border Police units in the West Bank after he said he contacted the defense minister twice and received no response. Kariv stated in his letter: "A reality has been created in which the fortified line distinguishing between military forces and violent elements is becoming increasingly blurred. Among the reserve and regular forces operating in the West Bank, there are dangerous pockets of support for violent activity against Palestinian residents".
