Justice Minister Yariv Levin will convene the committee for selecting the Judicial Ombudsman this Thursday. The candidates for the position are Revital Katz Yaffa, Ron Shapira, Moshe Yoad Hacohen, Attorney Yoel Hadar, and former judges Asher Kula and Sefi Alon. Following recent legislative changes in the Knesset, the Ombudsman will be selected by the search committee headed by the Justice Minister, replacing the previous arrangement where the Supreme Court President and Justice Minister made the selection.
