Hadera Police Commander charged with pushing, choking and assaulting protesters in Caesarea

The Police Internal Investigations Department has filed an indictment against Lt. Col. Amit Polk, commander of the Hadera Police Station, for assaulting a civilian during a protest outside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's residence in Caesarea about a year ago, as well as for obstruction of justice. According to the charges, Polk used unlawful violence against protesters while ordering the removal of a truck carrying a political display. He attacked one of them, pushed him and then choked him. Subsequently, according to the indictment, Polk attacked another person present at the scene.
