The Privacy Protection Authority at the Justice Ministry has ordered police to investigate suspected privacy violations of Mali and Liel Yahalom, following the publication of footage and personal information concerning them. According to the authority's statement, the request was made following the documentation of the two women who were located on a bus in Argentina and their questioning by police representative Walter. The statement further noted that "sensitive personal details from the investigation of the incident were exposed, including private correspondence, searches they conducted using artificial intelligence tools, information about their financial status, financial transactions, their location and movements, and their expected landing time in Israel. Examination of the reports indicates that the source of the information, at least in some cases, was the Israel Police."
