Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said at the UN General Assembly that "in the last two years we have witnessed genocide in Gaza, violations of Lebanon's sovereignty, destruction in Syria and killings in Yemen." According to him, "The attack by Israel and the U.S. on Iran is a betrayal of diplomacy and damages peace and security. The enemies' efforts to sow discord among the Iranian people have failed." Pezeshkian added that "Iran has never sought and will never seek to obtain nuclear weapons. Netanyahu is a criminal and Israel is cruel."
