Senior Israeli official: Stabilization force in Gaza won't include only Arab representatives; Italy also expressed willingness

Itamar Eichner|
A senior Israeli source said that contrary to the initial intention, the international stabilization force in Gaza will not consist solely of Muslim and Arab countries. Italy has even expressed willingness to send soldiers, but the Americans are not satisfied with this and are seeking additional countries. Other nations have offered to assist with training, guidance and funding but still fear sending soldiers due to concerns they might confront Hamas. The plan is to initially deploy the force in areas where few Hamas members remain or where the population does not submit to its authority.
