On Yom Kippur eve, September 20, lifeguard services will operate until 2:00 p.m., and from then until the end of the fast the following day at 8:00 p.m., lifeguard, security and cleaning services will be suspended. The council emphasized that while the beaches are open public spaces, swimming without lifeguard services is prohibited and dangerous.
