In response to the attack on the bridge connecting Tehran and Karaj, portrayed in Iranian media as the 'tallest bridge and engineering masterpiece of the Middle East,' Iran announced that bridges in Israel and across the Middle East have become 'legitimate targets.' Among others, the Iranians mentioned the Arik Bridge on Route 87 in Israel, which leads from the Lower Galilee to the Golan Heights.
