Indictment filed against five Jerusalem residents who planned attacks in Modiin and at checkpoint in 2027

The Shin Bet, IDF and police arrested five Jerusalem residents suspected of planning to carry out attacks against Israelis and security forces. The five Jerusalem residents are: Sabih Abu Sabih and Rashid Rishek, activists in the terror organization 'Shabab al-Aqsa' associated with Hamas, as well as Mohammed Abu Sabih, Mohammed Azmi Bakri and Ahmed Azmi Bakri. An indictment was also filed against the five for involvement in terrorist activity. According to the indictment, the attacks were planned at a restaurant in Modiin and at the Azariya checkpoint in early 2027, and the five even purchased weapons for this purpose. As part of the case, more than 30 activists from the capital and Judea and Samaria were arrested.
