The Shin Bet stated that "following consultations with professional entities within the service and outside it, Shin Bet chief David Zini approved several measures to create an optimal security response for party leaders." According to the organization, "intelligence units within the Shin Bet will provide a framework of monitoring and intelligence support; if a party leader wishes for security, the security company he hires will be authorized to carry weapons even in the absence of intelligence or a concrete threat; full coordination will be maintained between the Shin Bet's security division and the party leaders; the service will conduct a periodic situation assessment in which the threat level to each party leader will be examined."
