The suspect who was shot dead in an infiltration attempt at an IDF outpost on the Syrian border was a 22-year-old Palestinian from Damascus. He was not armed, carrying only a phone and money. The outpost's cameras captured him approaching and trying to find a way to enter. The suspect climbed the outpost's embankment, and then a soldier who was not at his post heard the report, took a MAG machine gun, ran toward the suspect and fired at him.
