IDF Spokesperson, Brigadier General Efi Defrin, refrained from elaborating in response to ynet's question about why the IDF does not publish data on soldier suicide cases since the beginning of the year. According to him, "These are matters of life and death, every soldier is very dear to us. We publish when it's possible to publish - and what is possible to publish." Defrin added: "Professional bodies deal with this. We publish when possible."
