Finance Committee approves transfer of $75 million to ultra-Orthodox, High Court to review

The High Court of Justice will review tomorrow all 40 budget transfers that the Knesset Finance Committee is expected to approve in the marathon session taking place since this morning. So far, the committee has approved a series of budgetary transfers of coalition funds totaling approximately $75 million. Among the approved transfers: $7.2 million for a program to prevent dropouts in yeshivas; $4.5 million to increase subsidies for afternoon programs in ultra-Orthodox community institutions; $3.5 million to support ultra-Orthodox Jewish culture; $4.2 million to expand support for Torah institutions operating in the Tekuma bloc in the Gaza border area and more.
