Interior Minister Moshe Arbel addressed the fire at Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef's synagogue in Jerusalem's Sanhedria neighborhood, stating: "I condemn this antisemitic arson attack and desecration of holy site. This represents a concerning escalation and an attack on a state symbol. In these times, we must all remove sources of division, eliminate barriers and banish baseless hatred from our midst." He added that he contacted Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar and demanded his participation in investigating "this despicable hate crime."
