IDF Chief on Jewish riots in West Bank: 'Strongly condemn - criminal minority crossing red line'

|
IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir visited the dual-division exercise of the Judea and Samaria Division and the "Gilead" Brigade (96) with Central Command commander Maj. Gen. Avi Blot and other commanders. He said it was an "unprecedented exercise, which also tests the new eastern division established as part of the war's lessons." Regarding the recent Jewish riots, he said: "We are aware of the violent incidents in recent days where Israeli citizens attacked Palestinians and Israelis. I strongly condemn them. The IDF will not tolerate the actions of a criminal minority that tarnishes a law-abiding public. These acts contradict our values. They represent crossing a red line and divert the forces' attention from fulfilling their mission."
